Safety Campaign Targeting Completed Vehicles’ Transport Drivers

Hyundai Glovis has conducted a campaign with the Korea Transportation Safety Authority at Hyangnam Logistics Center for the safety of drivers transporting new vehicles. The campaign included safety inspection to prevent accidents, 4D VR experiences of an accident, and provision of products for safe driving that prevent drivers from falling asleep at the wheel. They had conducted safety inspection on all vehicles that passed through the Hyangnam Logistics Center, and distributed products such as reflective tapes and sleep prevention kits, etc. In addition, they distributed the safety manuals produced in-house and urged them to observe the break time. The Hyangnam Logistics Center of Hyundai Glovis is the midpoint where vehicles manufactured in various locations come to before they are delivered to clients. An average of approximately 250 new vehicles a day is stored here before they are consigned to the clients after washing and various inspections. Since one driver transports several new vehicles, safety management and accident prevention is important. For this, Hyundai Glovis is practicing various safety management strategies under the principle of ‘One Glovis! One Safety!’ as well as social contributions related to safety. Hyundai Glovis plans to continue to enhance the safety consciousness of drivers and create a safe transportation environment.

“Conforms with international standards” as requested for verification of
greenhouse gas emissions from the Korean Standards Association

The scopes of this inspection are Scope1 (direct emissions such as fuel combustion of ships), Scope2 (indirect emissions from externally supplied fuels), Scope3 (indirect emissions from transportation such as supply chains), etc. Although domestic firms are not required to calculate or report Scope 3 greenhouse gas, Hyundai Glovis is striving to build social trust by reducing GHS emission targeting carbon neutrality, and plans to continuously serve as a model for the spread of environmentally-friendly business culture.
