In celebration of the “family month” of May, Hyundai Glovis organized a special event: G-Parents Day. Staff were asked to invite their parents to the company, where they had the chance to tour different areas of the Hyundai Glovis headquarters and spend some quality time with their children. G-Parents Day served as a meaningful occasion for the parents to reaffirm their love for their children and the children to express their gratitude to their parents. Let’s take a glimpse at some of the heartwarming scenes of the special day.
# Office tour and lecture on family communication
Saturday mornings at 10 AM would usually be a quiet time at the Hyundai Glovis headquarters, but on this particular Saturday it was buzzing full with parents of Hyundai Glovis staff. The special event kicked off with an office tour, with the parents exploring the areas where their sons and daughters worked. At this time, they would finally be introduced to the workspaces of their children that they had only envisioned in their minds. Arm-in-arm, the visitors and employees went to all corners of the headquarters, from rest areas to the office spaces, giving them an opportunity to bond. After the tour, there was even a lecture about family communication. Family members can feel emotionally distant despite their inherent closeness, and the lecture shared tips on improving communication within the family.
# Say cheese! Family photoshoot at Seoul Forest!
After a delicious lunch, all the participants went out to Seoul Forest for family photoshoots. Against the backdrop of lush greenery and trees befitting a beautiful spring day in May, family members were photographed leaning on each other. With affectionate gestures and gentle smiles, the photos captured memories of their day together with Hyundai Glovis.
# Recreational event and souvenir gifts
Lastly, a recreational event was held where the families could laugh and have fun together. They massaged each other’s shoulders, embraced in a way that they hadn’t done in a while, and indulged in moments of hearty laughter while playing games. The event was followed by a presentation of small gifts. The families who shared their impressions of the day, as well as those who claimed victory in the games, received special souvenirs. With this, G-Parents Day, packed with memorable activities, came to a close.
Hyundai Glovis organized G-Parents Day in commemoration of the family month of May. The event actually spanned a three-week period, when a total of 120 families were welcomed to the Hyundai Glovis headquarters, with 40 families participating each week. It was hoped that the event provided an opportunity for families to share meaningful time together and bond.
My parents actually came all the way from Gwangju, Jeolla-do for the event. Since we live far apart, I don’t get the chance to see them often, so it was so nice to be with them through this opportunity. They’ve always wanted to know more about the company where I worked, so being able to introduce them to my workplace was truly meaningful. In the future, I hope to spend more time with them and even travel together. I love you, Mom and Dad!

About a month ago, our daughter told us there would be an event at her company where parents of employees would be invited. It sounded like a wonderful opportunity, so we decided to go. Now that we are here in person, it is even better than we had imagined. The fact that Seoul Forest is located nearby means that she can go for walks and get a breath of fresh air, which will certainly help to alleviate any stress. The CEO of Hyundai Glovis even came to welcome us personally, and we took some family photos at Seoul Forest, which was a happy moment. Through this experience, we feel like we were able to find out more about the company where our daughter works. Needless to say, we will wholeheartedly support our daughter’s profession from the sidelines, without any worries.
As I approach the age of forty, I was glad that I was able to show some filial piety, something that I haven’t been able to do for the past forty years, through this event. Whenever I think of my parents, I always feel guilty. From now on, I will a make greater effort to visit them more often and show them lots of love. I love you both!

We never realized that the company that our son works for was such a great place. It was really nice to be here in person. We want to say thank you to our son and would like to let him know how proud we are and how much we love him.
Through this event, I was able to have a long conversation with my folks, which I haven’t been able to do for a long time. I was glad to see my parents enjoying themselves. Lately, I have been occupied with raising my own child and haven’t been able to pay much attention to them. When things calm down at work, I’m planning to go on a trip with them to a nice destination.

Being here at Hyundai Glovis has given us a fresh perspective. It has also made us think that we raised our son well. I hope that our son will continue to have an exciting career here.
It was genuinely meaningful to have this opportunity to show my folks the place where I work and how I live. Although I’m the youngest son, I don’t usually talk much at home. However, I would like to take this occasion to become a more affectionate son. I’m so grateful to my parents for their all-around support, which has enabled me to work at such great company. We hardly ever get to see our son in person, but we were able to talk about so many things today. It was a day that made us feel rewarded for raising our son. We hope there will be another event like this next year.
As an adult, I rarely have the opportunity to spend a whole day with my parents, but thanks to the company’s meaningful program, I was able to spend a lot of time with them. I am very grateful for this opportunity. It’s very nice to finally spend time with my parents, and I promise myself that I will make sure to go out with them at least once a year to eat and enjoy their hobbies together. Today, my parents came to the company’s headquarters early in the morning from Yangju, and I want to tell them that I appreciate and love them.

I really like the headquarters of Hyundai Glovis. The building is clean and I am proud that my daughter works in such a good environment. Today, Hyundai Glovis prepared a delicious meal for me, and I ate it very well. My daughter’s company gave me a sumptuous feast, and it will stay with me for a long time. I was worried that her work life would be difficult, but I am relieved that I came here today. I hope that my daughter grows bigger with the company here.
